HAVEN Autonomous Cockpit System

Adaptive Interface System

In the transition from Level 3 (Conditional Automation) to Level 4 (High Automation), the primary friction isn't technical—it’s psychological. Drivers face 'Cognitive Uncertainty,' unsure of when to remain alert versus when to surrender control. My challenge was to design a Psychological Bridge that transforms the user from a tense 'Supervisor' into a relaxed 'Passenger.' Instead of simply adding entertainment apps, I needed to architect a trust-based system that visualizes the AI’s competence, reducing the cognitive load of the handoff process.

To resolve the cognitive uncertainty of self-driving transitions, I designed a Predictive Context System that transforms the vehicle from a complex machine into a proactive "Sanctuary". By replacing traditional menus with a Unified 'Opt-Out' Bento Card, I reduced cabin configuration from a multi-step task to a single intent-based confirmation. This system addresses the "Trust Gap"—the primary business blocker for autonomous adoption—by using Active Monitoring and Semantic Lighting to visualize the AI’s competence in real-time. This strategic proposal shifts the product value from a risky technical feature to a reliable, high-retention consumer service.
